چکیده

In the Catalan area (Spain), diuron and bentazon are extensively used to control weeds therefore abundant in agricultural drainage. White-rot fungi have a high potential for removing these contaminants because of potent nonsubstrate-specific lignin-degrading enzyme system. Unfortunately, bacterial contamination hinders practical application fungal treatment. this study, trickle bed reactor (TBR) containing Trametes versicolor immobilized on oak wood was treat spiked nonsterile wastewater. The TBR operated 186 days continuous mode at different recirculation rates. exhibited stable promising performance, with an average removal up 80% 67%, respectively, steady state. lignocellulosic carrier only carbon resource biomass throughout entire operation period effectively suppressed growth. Adsorption also important contribution pesticide removal. constructed system persistent activity robustness adverse impacts regarding clogging, based pesticides removal, laccase activity, ergosterol quantity scanning electron microscopy analysis. This study demonstrates concept long-term treatment paves way full-scale application.

Styrene Biofiltration in a Trickle-Bed Reactor

The biological treatment of styrene waste gas in a trickle–bed filter (TBF) was investigated. The bioreactor consisted of a two-part glass cylinder (ID 150 mm) filled with 25 mm polypropylene Pall rings serving as packing material. The bed height was 1m. Although the laboratory temperature was maintained at 22 °C, the water temperature in the trickle–bed filter was slightly lower (about 18 °C)....

Continuous Ethanol Production from Synthesis Gas by Clostridium ragsdalei in a Trickle-Bed Reactor

A trickle-bed reactor (TBR) when operated in a trickle flow regime reduces liquid resistance to mass transfer because a very thin liquid film is in contact with the gas phase and results in improved gas–liquid mass transfer compared to continuous stirred tank reactors (CSTRs). In the present study, continuous syngas fermentation was performed in a 1-L TBR for ethanol production by Clostridium r...

I Methanol Synthesis in a Trickle Bed Reactor

INTRODUCTION The conversion of synthesis gas to methanol is practiced commercially in gas phase fixed bed reactors over a Cu/Zn/Al,O1 catalyst. However, because of the highly exothermic nature of the synthesis reactions, heat dissipation has been a bottleneck in the reactor design and process configuration. Moreover, coalderived synthesis gas, having a low H,/CO ratio, is not suitable for use i...

DEVELOPMENT OF A PELLET SCALE MODEL FOR TRICKLE BED REACTOR USING CFD TECHNIQUES

In this study, a pellet scale model was developed for trickle bed reactor utilizing CFD techniques. Drag coefficients were calculated numerically at different velocities and bulk porosities in the case of single phase flow through the dry bed. The simulation results were then compared with the prediction of Kozeny-Carman (K-C) equation. The results indicated that drag coefficients calculated fr...

Improved numerical simulation of the low temperature Fischer-Tropsch synthesis in a trickle bed reactor

Abstract Gas to liquid (GTL) process involves heterogeneous catalytic chemical reactions that convert synthesis gas to hydrocarbons and water vapor. A three phase reactor, called Low temperature Fischer-Tropsch (LTFT) is commonly applied for GTL process. In this reactor the gaseous phase includes the synthesis gas, light hydrocarbons and water vapor, the liquid phase is a mixture of the h...
